History

An ancient legend says that the monks based in the abbey in the south of Belgium lived very prosperous, but constant raids and robberies forced people to look for a new place for a quiet life. A certain part of the monks migrated to a place near the river, where in the year they began to brew beer of the highest quality. Beer was named which in translation means to burn. Thus, paying tribute to the memory of the terrible times of persecution.
